General information on course

Today’s workplace presents many challenges and the supervision of workers has become increasingly more difficult, especially where health and safety is concerned. Today’s supervisors are required to “take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to protect the health and safety of the worker”. This is no easy task when the number of regulations that must be complied with to ensure a safe workplace are taken into account.

Please note a minimum of 8 participants are required for this course to proceed. This also includes Saturday/Sunday bookings. Advanced Consulting and Training Ltd will provide 24 hours’ notice if a course change of date is required.

Can be a full day depending on the size of the group and participant interaction.

Anyone who supervises the work or workers in their day-to-day job activities.

What You Will Learn:

Upon the successful completion of this training session, participants will understand:

The legislative requirements (Government Regulations, CSA Standards and Manufacturers’ Guidelines and Principles);
The duties and responsibilities of all workplace stakeholders;
What constitutes ‘Due Diligence’;
Your role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

After This Workshop You Will Be Able To:

Communicate effectively up, down and across your organization’s personnel structure;
Implement health and safety control methods, including workplace inspections and audits;
Conduct an accident investigation;
Develop health and safety programs aimed at reducing workplace accidents and injuries;
Contribute to the creation of a ‘Safety Culture’ in your organization.

By means of group discussion, case studies and one-on-one instruction, participants will gain the ability to apply what they learn in this course.
